British director Paul Greengrass to make film about Norwegian 2011 tragedy

British director Paul Greengrass is set to make a film about the 2011 terrorist attack in Norway.

On the 22nd of July 2011, far-right extremist Anders Breivik detonated a van in the centre of Oslo, killing eight people, and then killed 69 people at a summer camp on the island of Utøya. He has been convicted of mass murder, causing a fatal explosion and terrorism.

The film will be based on the book ‘One of Us’ by Åsne Seierstad.

The film will not just be a reconstruction of events, but will follow how the country responded to the attacks.
